Description

The 2nd at Bearna Golf Club in Galway, Ireland.

Iomoairi an Ghorta (The famine Ridges)“It’s name comes from potato ridges discovered close to the tees during construction, and which date from the Great Famine of 1845-1847. In the decade preceding those years, a village now vanished, called Corboley Morgan stood about 200 to 300 metres north of the main entrance to the course. It consisted of twenty three callings or huts.”
